Transfer Buzz: Besiktas Nabs Abraham from Roma; Arsenal's Partey Heads for Exit

June 30, 2025

Besiktas is reportedly closing in on a deal with Tammy Abraham from AS Roma, while Thomas Partey is set to exit Arsenal after contract negotiations fall through.

Tammy Abraham, former Chelsea frontman, is on the brink of a move to Besiktas from AS Roma. Respected football journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported a verbal agreement between the two clubs for the €20m transfer of the 27-year-old striker. After a loan spell at AC Milan last season, Abraham is now set to soar off to Turkey for a medical check-up before sealing the deal. His tally last season stood at three goals from 28 Serie A appearances. Meanwhile, another significant move is brewing in the Premier League. Arsenal's Thomas Partey, the Ghana international, seems to be on his way out as contract talks have reached a stalemate. The player, who has been with the Gunners since 2020, is not in a hurry to decide his next move. Arsenal is predicted to announce his departure in the coming days. Christian Nørgaard from Brentford is tipped to be Partey's successor at the Emirates, with an announcement expected next week.
